Working with one of Ireland’s leading climate solutions providers, Obelisk was contracted to install a meteorological tripod that controls three separate photovoltaic solar farms.
Obelisk designed and installed a meteorological tripod capable of measuring temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, windspeed and wind direction, with the ability to be remotely accessed, allowing for real-time monitoring and automatic download.
The tripod’s power supply is also maintained through connection to the local power grid, and a separate backup system based on small solar panels and battery backup in the event of grid failure.
