Obelisk was founded as the mobile telecoms infrastructure began to evolve in Ireland.
We grew to provide the complete suite of services for the telecoms infrastructure market, delivering approximately 40% of the mobile infrastructure in Ireland.
Obelisk expanded to provide infrastructure rollout solutions, enabling the broadening of telecommunications and power infrastructure.
Wind Measurement International (WMI) was founded, expanding Obelisk’s service offering.
Obelisk further expanded its all-island footprint, opened its Ballycoolin office in Dublin, complete with expansive warehouse facilities.

Obelisk was acquired by Constructel Visabeira in 2022, a leading company in the global telecommunications and energy networks engineering sector and subsidiary of multinational and multi-sector holding company, Grupo Visabeira.
Obelisk announced the acquisition of Balfour Beatty's telecoms division in the UK, as part of continued expansion into the UK market.
